If you're eliminating the original double-action fuel pump, you'll need to replace the vacuum heater-control valve with a manual valve. I purchased mine from one of the Tbird suppliers (probably Concours or Casco), but you might be able to get one from your local parts store; they're universal, not vehicle-specific. Buying one locally probably will be cheaper.

Thanks, had planed on that just to be sure. Hot fuel can push the nettle and seat open. Gets hot in Texas!!

Carter M6905. Mine was made in USA, but I bought it several years ago. Depending upon your carburetor, you might need a regulator.

I've used a 427 FE high performance fuel pump on mine for years. Shouldn't be hard to find at your local shops.

Y's guys rule!
Looking for McCullouch VS57 brackets and parts. Also looking for 28 Chrysler series 72 parts. And early Hemi parts.

Have a 57t-bird electric wipers, looking for new fuel pump that will fit. Maybe a FE pump?
