I have a 40 Ford coupe in which I am installing a y-block with a T5. I have installed a T5 in a 55TB and a 56 Customline and used the original mechanical Z-bar clutch linkage. The original clutch linkage in the 40 is not an option. I have decided to use a hydraulic clutch. I have the master mounted and am looking for slave cylinder to drive the clutch fork. Lots of cylinders out there but I have been unable to find anything definitive for a mount for a slave cylinder. Any suggestions or do I need to start building some cardboard mounts to see what will fit and is within my fabrication capabilities?

I used truck bell housing and the slave cylinder from the truck all stock and easy to do, In my model A hot rod. Works like a charm. Got the slave from Rock Auto the flange on it bolts to the back of the block easy piezy.

Good idea. I should have thought of it before I modified my bell housing for the T5 adapter.

I suggest a hydraulic throwout bearing.

That wasn't my first choice but I bought one for a T5, tried to fit it and could not get the required clearance. It was to long. Probably others to try but I prefer the external anyway so after the one try have started to look for external alternatives.
