Manifold by itself, $250-500 depending on how badly you want it and its condition. If it is really clean/ no welds/no cracks/exhaust crossover tubes not burned out and you need it for a restoration, maybe $600.00. JMO, but a new Mummert or Blue Thunder will run much better and be so much easier to tune. I have all three, so I think I can speak from experience. Joe-JDC

My brother told me it was on Craigslist so I looked it up and it’s an early bird aluminum dual quad intake that looks really good. They want $250 for it. I will probably pass on it but a good buy for someone

I reminder on factory dual quads - the valley plan is special with a depressed center.

Multiple carbs look cool, especially with an exposed engine compartment, but that's not a plus for those of us who run with a full hood that's almost always closed. I'll stick with a single 4-barrel on my Eaton-modified ECZ-B intake.

There were two different factory manifolds available for the Ford Y. The first was the 1956 version with casting number EDB-C which were available as an over-the-counter part and not factory installed on vehicles. The second version was the 1957 version with casting number ECG-D and these could be found factory installed on ‘E’ code cars, station wagons, Rancheros, and Thunderbirds. Most of the ’57 versions had the casting date at the top of the manifold in the thermostat cavity area. Here’s a link to a past thread on this site to some of the casting dates for the ECG-D manifold. http://forums.y-blocksforever.com/FindPost165461.aspx

Thanks Ted for the information, after trying for an hour to send the ad on Craigslist to the forum I gave up. Here is the ad address. “Spokane Craigslist auto parts 312/yblock parts” Spokane is about 250 miles away. I would like to drive there and buy the parts but after 50 years of marriage I don’t like the thought of sleeping in my garage with the dog so maybe someone else would like to buy the parts.

I use to buy and repair factory 2x4 manifolds (57s) most were cracked underneath. I would pay $100 to $125 and sell them for $200 to $250. The welds didn't show when the manifold was installed.
