I use to buy and repair factory 2x4 manifolds (57s) most were cracked underneath. I would pay $100 to $125 and sell them for $200 to $250. The welds didn't show when the manifold was installed. wish i could find some of those cracked aluminum manifolds cheap. how does the old castings weld, i know current aluminum is can be insanely different levels of clean.
