Just like Paul says...that's the goofiest part number I've ever seen and I fully expected the guy at the NAPA counter to treat me like we were at Autozone, but it's a legit part number and made all the difference in the world on my 292.

I dont know right now whats in the car, I still havent got the fender project finished I am waiting on a parking light housing to get delivered, after that is done I am going to get back on the cooling issue and replace whatever it is with the thermostat you recommend. Do you happen to have the part #

What thermostat do you have in it now?  If you don't already have it, I HIGHLY recommend that Napa #6 170 degree one I mentioned.  That made ALL the difference in the world for me.

Thanks for looking Carl, unfortunately that is the same size as the pulley I have on the car.  It looks like I have 2 options. Get a pulley made or maybe change the alt and dampner pulley out to a 3/8 belt. I just talked to autospecialties and they can make one for about 150 bucks. Thanks for the link Charlie.

I checked and the smallest 1/2" wide pulley is around 61/2 " diameter,  Carl

I talked with the guys at t bird products and they said the bird pulley wouldnt work. If Carl dosent have anything I think my best option is change to a 57 fairlane pulley set up on the alt and balancer with a 3/8 belt and use the mr g wp pulley I have

T-Bird pulleys have less offset than passenger car pulleys, they do not interchange.
