Can anyone tell me the difference between the water pump brackets as in how far forward/ backward the two different brackets sit. I am collecting parts and have mostly parts from a 58/59. I have so far the water pump bracket with the pump bracket, a pitman arm, the harmonic balancer add on pulley,  a short nosed pump with the shallow pulley, the main rod the tie rods/ control valve/ ram connect to and finally the idler arm with the bracket, but I am unsure of the water pump bracket. I think it might be one from a 57, but I need to be sure. Also does anyone know how critical the differences are or if they can be fixed with spacers if I have the wrong one?

It would help to know what year and engine size you are working with.
