I just left the charger on the 10 amp setting and let it do its work - never really got into testing the load and all of that. The charger has a 2 amp and a setting of 30 amps (to start your car if needed while charging a mostly dead battery). Electrolysis can get high tech as needed - plenty of archaeologists and treasure seekers use the process. One thing to note on gases - from what I understand this is only when dealing with certain metals - I have always read that stainless steel will give off a toxic gas. The cast iron pieces and the pot metal parts I have put into an electrolysis bath have never given off fumes. Another plus would be that the bath is completely organic and easily disposable when dealing with ferrous metals.

Thanks Dan for the excellent video link. I may try it next summer and possibly hot-rod the process with a higher viltage source like a variac, bridge rectifier and big capacitor Just meed to be aware of the higher voltage and hydrogen/oxygen gas.  Did the ammeter on your charger indicate any current? I would guess it wouldn't be much due to the high resistnce of the liquid bath.

Sorry. I can't do any of that. Never figured it out.

See if this helps.  At the top of the screen that you are viewing and would like to share, find and high light the internet address.  Then use the Ctrl and C buttons simultaneously to copy this address into the computers' memory buffer.

Example:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09ck7R9zvUw

When on this site and posting a message, do a hard return after your initial text and then use the Ctrl and V button simultaneously to paste that address into your post.  That will be the link to the address you previously saved into the memory buffer.  If wanting to add more text to your message, then do another hard return after the inserted link and then type your text.

Seeing as you have already researched this, can you provide the link or links to those videos that would guide someone in the right direction.  No need to experiment with what would be the best combination if that information is already out there.
