Pal Nut Palnut® (PAL nut) push-on fasteners are single-piece fasteners engineered to provide optimal holding strength while requiring minimal push-on force. Options are available for use with round, threaded, or special shaped studs. 55blacktie (7/25/2022)
For those of us who don't know what PAL nuts are, could someone post a photo? I don't intend to use them, but will check mine when it's time to rebuild it.

I normally change the nuts on stock rods even if I’m keeping the stock rod bolts when find the pal nuts. ARP sells them separately by size. I don’t think many engines used them after the 50’s. I’ve had the pan off my 56 292 and the PAL nuts were not used on the rebuild which was installed in the car when I purchased it.

Doing a rebuild on a 292. Nothing too exotic, just an E4 Isky cam. Stock bottom end with G heads and a B intake. Question is with a basically stock motor do I reuse the PAl ( the thin locking nuts) on the rod bolt nuts? Rods were in good shape, and just reused with no machining other than a balance job.
Thanks Paul
