55 used the bracket you have.  In 56 they changed the design

The coil is real close to the aluminum (Tbird) valve covers.  You have to loosen up or unbolt the coil to get the cover off

Looking at the pics I posted shows how close the coil is to the valve cover. No issue with this but it might present issues with aluminum valve covers? The link RanchersJim posted for a bracket offered by NPD may be better.
