Sounds like you have a T85? If so, that's a great heavy duty transmission. I have a T86 with O/D in my Tbird. I suppose you could adapt a TBird shifter to work in your car. It mounts on the floor hump. Personally, I would keep the O/D. I love mine.

On second thought, because of all the complications, I'm going to leave it stock. The O/D is working great and 'if it ain't broken, do't fix it". Leaving it stock, might make it easier to sell to a buyer who wants stock. Thanks to all the Y'blockers who contributed to me with advice and help. Tim Nearly dead or Newly wed, Florida 33706

I had the OD transmission and spent a long time looking for a Hurst (or any) floor shifter and never found one. Eventually went with a 5 speed mustang using a Mummert adapter. Still have to fabricate a decent shift lever and boot, otherwise a great swap. I have a long paper explaining all the details if anyone is interested. Write me directly at jackgr@aol.com.

contact the seller with a message on eBay - he did not have what I wanted listed in his eBay store but he did have it in his stash of parts and it was very reasonable.

Do you have a T86 or T85? The bracket that Dan posted is for a T86 OD.
