This is an easy one for you Y-block experts.  I bought an oil pan with attaching pickup tube on ebay.

The end of the tube where it goes into the oil pump has a sizable dent, almost looks like it was put there using a die. 

So my question is:  Does that dent belong there??  Photos attached.,
