This is an easy one for you Y-block experts.  I bought an oil pan with attaching pickup tube on ebay.

The end of the tube where it goes into the oil pump has a sizable dent, almost looks like it was put there using a die.

So my question is:  Does that dent belong there??  Photos attached.,http://forums.y-blocksforever.com/uploads/images/ff071831-aff1-43f2-8413-ab64.jpghttp://forums.y-blocksforever.com/uploads/images/a4ea6d92-e2d8-4f74-b4dd-5dc3.jpg

Probably from overtightening of the nut onto the rubber seal.  Was done a lot to try & fix leaks [air-in when running or oil out when parked/off] there. Overtightening just made it worse; then, to the point of collapse as you see on your pickup pipe as pictured.
