I have been looking at carb spacer. I measure the intake holes ( 1.5” ), and carb base Ventura ( 1.5” ) . But looking at spacer they are 1 11/16”. Am I not finding the right spacer or do I not know what I am looking at. The carb. Is a Holley 570 street avenger. Any help with this would be great, as I what to do it right the first time.
KULTULZ The ECZ-B intake throttle bore(s) (unmodified) are 1.5". You say your HOLLEY throttle bore(s) are 1.5" also? The 1957 ECZ-B H4150 carb spacer (B7AZ 9A589-B) is presumably 1/2" tall, phenolic and the throttle bores should be 1.5" to match the OEM intake and carb. Supposedly the spacer is carried by the USUAL SUSPECTS. You need to ask them to pull one and get the specs as they may be NOS, REPRO or OFF-SHORE. https://www.macsautoparts.com/...
SPACER/ADAPTER - Tapered Throttle Bores 1.5in to 1.69in
Available from SPEEDWAY
This scenario (... ?... didn't know I could speak Spanish) is what you want to avoid. You want a smooth transition-

Another outfit selling spacers & adaptors is "Trans Dapt" performance. They have a large selection of adaptors N.B,- try www.hedmanperformancegroup.com for info.. P.S.- not mentioned in any of the postings is that you need to keep in mind that small hole 4 Bbl gaskets for the ECZ-B intake are needed, or U will have sealing problems due to the intake not having a flat surface..

This is about the closest you will find off the shelf. Open it up to suit your needs. https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Speedway-Phenolic-4-Hole-1-Inch-Carburetor-Spacer,79717.html?OriginalQuery=1351906I think they had a tapered spacer at one point but I'm not finding it. That allows most modern carbs to be fitted to a small bore manifold so the carb end hole willl be much bigger than needed but it should work. Look for yourself, e-mail, or call them about it. There will also be lot's of options on eBay. You just have to keep looking.

Yes that might be a good question, but maybe we should have a y-block avenger. I wonder why it is so hard to find a spacer to fit the 57-B manifold with 1.5” for both intake and carb. I knew that they would not be stocked on shelves but not a thing that can be as hard as looking to find the needle in hay stack. But I am still looking.

Oh, you can also get used tapered spacers on eBay. If you're lucky, you can find one with the top and bottom diameters you need. I think they're some kind of racing surplus.

Speedway Motors sell a Holley 390 spacer which can be tapered to match the carb. Another option is to remove the intake and open up the holes. And the least ideal option is to simply use the larger spacer on the manifold with no modifications.
