There's no actual exact Part for that Application. Never an Original availability. If You get one for a 55-56 with factory Teapot, Fordomatic, and "A" Manifold that's as close as You will find. There will be some Modifications required like the Link to the Carburetor from Bell Crank. Just so You are aware of this.

"My application is specifically a 1955 Crown with a 292 (bored to 297) with an ECZ-B manifold and a Edelbrock 1405 carb: Just so there's no confusion as to what I'm looking for." Don't ask where I got the idea you had a BIRD. This CRS is getting to me. IMO- If a '57 intake, you would want the '57 bracket so as to fit and appear correctly with no shim packs. You would modify the linkage(s) from there. It all depends on what final appearance you want. Forgot to ask- Is the car MT or AT?

Thanks, folks! It's an "original" Fordomatic.
Long story short: Many a decades ago my 1st '55 Crown was an A/T - young and innocent at the time, I burned it up not knowing to clean the intake screen for the air-cooled converter! Changed that one to 3-spd w/overdrive. Later on got '57 Merc S/W 312 engine with ECZ-G factory heads, factory "high-lift" cam, and Carter AFB 4bbl on ECZ-B manifold (had bracket!!).
Having to move 90 miles away for a job at a very bad economic time here in 1991 -- 1993 time period, left car "in storage" outside - nowhere "inside" available or affordable. Some time later, some local "kids" (whom I knew about - but no proof) torched that car.
A year later, spouse felt sorry enough to buy me a replacement car while "away" (personal economy had turned-around enough to then afford it). Moved back to "home" territory - different home location in 1996. Had saved as much of old car parts as possible, including complete engine, drivetrain, etc.
Started building a retirement home in fall of 2008 (a month before the housing "bubble" burst - another separate personal [very challenging] economic story) at another (present) location - parts moved again!!! Now can't find those working bracket parts anywhere!!! Damn!!! And, we all know that they WILL show-up AFTER I get the replacements obtained.
After now replacing the old (really tired) engine with a good replacement, I need to move the present car from my son's garage to here "real soon now", as he needs the garage space and I now have a place here to store it for the winter.
Thanks for listening to the "sob" story; but, I still need to acquire or cobble linkage to get it here - I'd really prefer to do the job "right" the first time; which is the reason for this "WTB" posting.
Regards, JLB

IMO- If a '57 intake, you would want the '57 bracket so as to fit and appear correctly with no shim packs. You would modify the linkage(s) from there. It all depends on what final appearance you want. Please allow me to reiterate and qualify my statement- "ONCE UPON A TIME IN A GALAXIE FAR, FAR AWAY ... " I am a stickler for detail. If it ain't factory or better I just leave it alone. Especially on SAT NIGHTS where I will show you mine if you show me yours. The inspections are made, money held and then you can fire it up. Too late now. If it was my 55 (how I wish) and going to an ECZ-B intake, I would try and modify the 55/56 throttle linkage to work and put a 56 ACL on it. 56 BIRD (I believe) - 292/312 w ECZ-B and 56 Throttle Linkage - Doesn't that look better than the 57 Throttle Bracket? EDIT - "If it was my 55 (how I wish) and going to an ECZ-B intake, I would try and modify the 55/56 throttle linkage to work and put a 56 ACL on it." Now how are you going to put a 56 ACL on a H-4150? OK ... I think I am ready for the home ...

bergmanj (JLB). Okay. Your back story provides understanding. Kultulz and I think alike. Personally, I'd look to match the bellcrank with the particular intake manifold you are using. That said, which bell crank do YOU want? A '56 or a '57 assembly? IF you want the '56 style, I'd highly recommend turning to Carl. Carl has supplied me with numerous GooD used y-block parts at fair prices. Hope one of us can help you!

Here's a photo of my throttle linkage. My car is a 55 TBird with O/D. I am running a 1957 ECZ-B manifold and a Holley. I used the 55 linkage with a couple of washers to level it out and it works perfectly.

Like Phil said. I put a B manifold and Holley 4150 and I used the EXISTING 4BBL linkage on the 312 I dropped into my 55Tbird with FOM back in the 60`s and it runs, downshifts AND ALL Pete
