Don't know why, but there is no aluminum tanks with baffles, sump and dual inlets and outlets for '59 Fairlane, so I did one for myself.
Welding is not great but this is my second project after I bought a Tig welder.

Cool.
So, does it actually hold gas?  If any of the welds are bad, it will leak.

Good job! I have a TIG welder and I'm still practicing. Afraid to try on anything of value. What type of filler rod did you use and what Amperage?

I pressure tested it with air and soap water. Looks airtight.

AC, 2,4mm green eletrode, 1,6mm AlMg5 filler rod, maybe 120Hz, 30% cleaning, about 110A, #7 to #8 gas lence(melted my #8 without gas, doh) and pure argon 10l/min. 4mm aluminum plate.
Welding whole tank took about 4kg argon.
