Is the Motorcraft BF82 the equivalent of Autolite 46 ? Heat range? Other?? If the spark plug cross-reference website can be believed, yes. If you play around and plug (heh) different plug #s into the website you'll get a different answer depending on which direction you're coming from. Manufacturers now sometimes claim that one plug can equal 2 or 3 heat ranges, conveniently having removed some of the offerings in their lineup. If you're picky on heat range, it's tough to beat NGK as they offer a full spread, plugs with a "5" in their nomenclature are midrange and as the numbers get higher they get colder in heat range.
