On the 56 Ford I,m working on, the previous owner had replaced the carburetor. In doing so, he (or someone) welded up the kick-down assembly for some reason. I was able to acquire another one in good shape, but would like to know how the springs are arranged and how many were supposed to be there? On the block, where the accelerator mechanism mounts, there is a bracket with a hole for a spring, but other than that, I don't see anything. Would any one have a picture of the springs, or know if they are reproduced? I can't find much in the service manual. It's a 56 Fairlane with the Teapot 4 bbl carb. Also, I'm thinking of adding the Windshield washer & would like to know how many squirter thingies were mounted on the hood? Thanks so much. Hopefully, I'll live long enough to finish this thing. Regards Jim
