The 1957 MERC Monterey 368CI M-335 Engine came through with a M/T.
The bell was cast and supplied by CRAGAR.
The truck LYB (279-317-302-332) are heavy and clumsy.



CRAGAR also sold the bell aftermarket with CRAGAR cast on it.

Which Lincoln Y-Block and what year?  I may have a standard trans bellhousing for the 1953 Lincoln car application.
 
And what part of the country are you located?  Shipping is always a player and especially for the larger items.

Wasn't the Lincoln y block put in big trucks and buses in the 50's? That would be a source for a bell housing.

This begs the question as to what Y block Lincoln was offered a standard trans.

I picked one up last year for $50 at a swap meet the same day i originally lined up this lincoln before i broke my phone and lost all my contacts a day later

I missed the part about the Lincoln.  Standard shift Lincoln bellhousings are pretty scarce.  Good luck.

Randy Conner has done exactly that, except that he used the overdrive cable to actuate reverse.  The shift arms on the trans would have to be turned around from their present vertical positions.  The Ford T10 will bolt to the Y bellhousing.

Anyone ever hooked a t10 up to a regular ford column shift? Now on paper it looks like you could bang 1-4 on the tree and have a simple drive/reverse lever thru the floor. Good idea or bad idea? Linkage should be a bolt up right? I know 4 on the tree has been done, and i know 4 on the floor is easy but i just kinda like the idea of keeping it mostly stock. I realize it makes it easy to put it in drive/reverse gears but otherwise should it work?

Basically i just re-found a guy i know that has a 368 lincoln, which would probably shred my fresh rebuilt t86 o/d and also havent been able to find a t85 o/d.
