ndred Does anyone know the psi on the Ford steering systems ? I looked in my manual and all it reference was 7 to 8 hundred pounds of pressure.I just replaced my power steering hoses and want to make sure I'm safe at 2600 pounds of pressure. Thank you!!

The power steering system pumps I am familiar with operator at 1200 to 1600 PSI MAX. Why do you need a 2600 PSI hose? Why not ask the company that made the hose? What P/S pump are you using? Pete

If what you’re asking is will a 2600# rating be safe on a stock p/s system, the answer is yes.

Thanks for your help, I don't need 2600 pound hose , that's what the hydraulic shop had on hand  and I had to go 60 mile to find a shop that had the fittings.Covering my bases for the psi rating,
