I picked a Y block and 3 speed trans from a 62 - 64 F-100 in a junk yard and was wondering if both 272 & 292 used a balance tube or cross over between the ext. manifolds in the top frt. of the engine? Or can I narrow it down before I get it on an engine stand and tear it down? I always wanted to build a bucket with a Yblock.
