The short answer is no... they use different bell housings.. Now, if the 317 is from a truck you could have a bell housing, clutch, and the front motor mount that you need, But it will still require some fab skills to make it all work.. There is plenty of room in the engine bay for the swap. You will need the rams horn style exhaust manifolds to miss the steering box.

Just got a 57 f100.,4 speed, 272 runs ok but smokes like a chimney. Found a 317 rebuilt lincoln motor cheap . Will it bolt up ? Thanks Jim (new member)
