I have read a lot of pinion angles and how to set them. Driveshaft should be close to parellel with engine crankshaft, with minor adjustments for leaf springs vs four link. Ok, with that said, I have never seen side to side pinion angle discussed. Its always up and down. I have a 9" ford rear end going under my 56 Ford F-100 and the pinion/gearbox is not centered in the middle of the axel. 26 1/2" from backing plate on one side and 29" on the other. Engine and transmission are centered side to side. I hope Im not going to have to mount the engine front to rear at an angle to match the offset pinion side to side in the rear? Can someone please explain this?
