The Y-Block will be blinding enough. Although many will think its a newer type scrub motor. This Vette ran at New England dragway in the 60's with a SOHC. After being announced as a scrub he put on monster FORD decals.

If you really want to mess with their minds, adapt a pair of Corvette valve covers to it.

Unless they see a Ford valve cover will most of them even know what it is?

It's got the distributor in the back like they're used to seeing.

But yeah, it'd be cool to have someone explain it to the members of the younger BowTie set.

Thanks Ted. It was worth the wait to see that!! I wish I could be there the first time you take it to a show or race. That'll drive the bow ties nutz!!

We fabricated a bracket that mounts to the engine block where the original two bolts were for the mechanical clutch linkage. I have plenty of clearance under the car for linkage and I already had the slave cylinder.

Man I love stuff like this! I used to work with a guy back in the mid to late '70's who had a '55 scruby 2 door sedan drag car with a loaded 289 Ford in it. Did it just to tic off the scruby guys and it worked. Also was competitive. I like this better. Keep posting pictures. Like the dual quads also.
