YblockerEDH, we should get together and have a cup some weekend. I live in woodland and spend a lot of time in Sac. I know a couple other Y blockers in the metro area as well. Nothin better n a bunch o Y-blocks in one place to spark the interest in folks. Probably should start a new thread for this. That way more local guys can read it and maybe ALL of us can get together. Hi 47 Ford, I have a 312 engine in Jasper, TN, 37347. I pretty sure it is a 57. The block # is ECZ 6015 C, the manifold # is ECZ 9425 B, the heads are stamped ECZ G, which I understand are the desirable heads. I'm currently not into Fords. I started out with a 352 back in the mid 60's, graduated to a 390 and then into a 429 (?) in the late 60's, early 70's. Since then I'm a Pontiac guy so please bare with me. Basically. I'm selling for a friend in Chicago (my old stomping grounds). I've got quite a few parts he wants me to peddle. I'm new to this forum and can hopefully post some pics. I also have a ECZ 9425 A manifold with the old teapot (?) carb and exc air cleaner from his 292, 56 full size. More parts which I will post later. I cannot ship, or prepare for shipping. Maybe I can scrounge up a small pallet at best. The engine is on a small cradle with wheels which I rolled into my Suburban with a chainfall. He is currently running a different 312. He gave up on this one because of low compression in 2 cylinders and had a backup engine ready. Not sure how to post pic's on this site, was going to post on ebay but I thought I'd get You a shout first. My ebay user name is "udyra" (pig latin for Rudy) if you want to check my credentials.

Hey Butch. I was working out of Manchester, TN back in the late 80's. Worked for the "Extradition Corporation of America". They rebuilt the old jail downtown and we were transporting prisoners on extradition warrents all over the country. Long days on the road and not so good pay. Anyway just made me stop and recall a bit. Oddly I now live in Manchester, New Hampshire.
Y's guys rule! Looking for McCullouch VS57 brackets and parts. Also looking for 28 Chrysler series 72 parts. And early Hemi parts.

MM, Might want to snap a pix of crank flange and post it. That is the only sure way to identify that it is a 312. The ECZ - C block was also used in 292's in 1957. Check out: http://ford-y-block.com/identify312.htm -Bob
