Driving home tonite in my 292 powered '59 fairlane i seemed to get a couple spots where i totally lost power while cruising. I was probably doing 65 or so in overdrive for 7 miles and it just seemed to stumble out of the blue for 5 or so seconds then pick right up where it left off. It did this twice. No backfires, level ground and i couldnt tell if the accelerator pump made a difference so i couldnt quite diagnose it to my knowledge. Any thoughts? I'm leaning tward the obvious which would be a dead short (it was raining too)but i dont remember the wipers stopping(yes i have electric) and unfortunately i dont currently have dash lights until i get a new headlight switch.

I should add, the previous owner put an electronic ignition in it, so i'm wondering if that could be an issue. I have no idea what kind of module it is running but it appeared some sort of an OEM unit.
