Installing oil pump with new ARP drive shaft # 154-7906 with retaining clip slid all the way down pointy end of shaft and blunt end in pump, when installing pump will not move to mating surfaces, comes about a 1/4" short, clip is hitting block almost like the shaft is to long. Shaft is brand new in package overall length 8", Hex ends are each 3/4". Stumped unless wrong length. Any suggestions are welcome...
