Had them off of my T Bird a while back. No problem. Now I have gone brain dead and can't seem to figure out how they come off. Know I did it without any special tools. Couldn't find it in the shop manual. Anyone?

I know they make a special tool, but a rag and a wide/progressive size selection of straight edge screwdrivers will work. The real trick is getting the register correct when reinstalling. Good luck.

Finally looked at it and cussed it long enough to figure it out. You were right. Needed a bigger screwdriver. When I am in the mood to tinker I will make a tool to do this. I'm thinking an old wood chisel that's the right thickness with a slot cut in it to slide under the shaft. May have to heat and bend it to make it work properly.
