Rex.  This is a link to a discussion in another thread last week.  The information from Ted Eaton pertaining to camshaft LCA was of interest to me as it relates to engine vacuum for streetability and use with an automatic transmission.

Hope this helps.   Smile

Finally getting to the point in the project that I am sending the engine to the machine shop.  My 55 Tbird is going to be a present to my daughter once done.  I am going to use a autolite 4100 carb, mummert aluminum intake and will likely spring for some Ford Powertrain headers.  any recommendations on a cam that will be a bit more lively than stock but still very drivable.  Goals is just to wake things up a bit not go crazy.  Still looking at tranny's was going to do a FMX swap but may jump all the way to a C4 or an overdrive automatic.  I have put in a modern steering rack and disk brake set up so the car should drive well.  Just want to get the engine right.  She has been in storage since 1967 so sure hope nothing goofy pops up in the tear down.  Any ideas are appreciated.

Thanks
Rex
