Did some searching here on headers. Lots of research by lots of good people. Sanderson looks good. Mummert has a set but I don't see a price on his website. Reds don't seem to be much better than stock manifolds. I currently am running a set of Hedman's from the '50s that aren't much better than stock manifolds. Hope to get the engine finally fired up after a lengthy restoration and engine rebuild in the next week or two. Engine has aluminum heads, factory dual quads, sharp roller rockers, custom Isky cam. It is pretty much a copy of an engine that Ted built and was featured in Y Block Magazine a few years back. He pulled around 420 horsepower out of it as I recall. I'm thinking on going with Sanderson. More concerned with open header drag strip performance than street. Just looking for opinions and if there is a better option that is available at this time. I will be switching headers after I get it running and sorted out. Winter project.
