I have a complete 312 with ford-o-matic and all linkages out of a '55 Tbird.  I also have the manual that was in a crate.  Located in Houston.  Make me an offer.

As Carl alluded too, if it's an original 1955 T-bird engine, it's not a 312.  They were 292s. To determine what it is, requires checking the end of the crankshaft flange, where a single shallow 5/16" diameter raised dot may be found. If not found, then it will require removing the oil pan. If the rod ends are marked ECZ, then it's a 312. If  marked EBU, it's a 292 or even could be a 272. Either is o.k., but don't pay a substantial  price for a non 312.. On the other hand, 312s are much more likely to have block casting cracks then the others, which may render the block as unusable.. So, proceed accordingly..
