368 should bolt right in. Its in the same family as the 279,302,317,332,341 and 368.  Theres a brand new 368 bare block on eBay for only $1000.00 plus shipping.

54 linc: I suggest you put your request for another engine in the Classified section. There are a couple of people on here that may be able to help you..

There has been at least one fellow on here that knows about these engines. I have a 54 Lincoln parts car that I might be willing to sell. The engine is stuck but all intact. It has not run since the 70's. It has power steering and factory air conditioning. I also have a 317 and hydramatic that I got when I bought a 54 Ford car. I think it is also stuck. I was going to find a use for them but will sell if it would help fix yours.PM me if you are interested. I live in central Texas.

My GF recently got a 54 Capri from her dad who owned it for 20 years. After getting some head work done by a jackleg mechanic, he drove it home where it grenaded. (See pics) Upon removing the front of the motor, I found a peice of the cam, bearings, pushrods, lifters and crankshat pieces. I havent got the block out yet, but am pretty sure it is garbage. What are my options? Will a 368 bolt up? I am having a difficult time finding  317 parts. Any help would bee much appreciated.http://forums.y-blocksforever.com/uploads/images/ddda3668-50af-497b-8873-0b61.jpg
