Roger PATC didn't have a 23 tooth gear for my 59 Ford O nor could he build a reduction adapter. So I'm trying to fit a gear out of a later model Mustang I'll report back if I win this battle Dave

This may be a dumb question but, does the gear in the trans have to be changed to accommodate the different speedo gear?

So earlier I posted that the speedometer was showing faster then I was actually going about 10 mph faster. So I pulled the gear and found it to be a green one with 21 teeth.. This is for a 59 Fairlane with a Ford O .Started looking for a gear with more teeth finding out it would be easier to look for hens teeth. Any ideas I'm pretty sure I can;t be the first with this issue. As always this forum is a wealth of knowledge. Thanks Dave
