No it doesn't matter car or truck on the tube. I misunderstood. I thought you were looking for the housing.

Don't need a thermo housing, just the bypass fitting. Shouldn't matter if truck or car right? Looks like new from either Casco or Mummert won't break my budget. Thanks for the Casco lead Paul.

They make repro - less than 10 dollars. I see them in the CASCO (TBIRDS parts) catalog. This is the fitting that bolts onto the water pump that the hose goes on. Part # 8548. Tbird and sedan are the same.

I recently saw an article, I think on this forum, about replacing the tube on the thermostat housing. The old one was drilled out and replaced. You could even press in stainless steel tube and end the rust problem. Drill size is important as you want a press in tight fit. Maybe a search will find it?
Y's guys rule! Looking for McCullouch VS57 brackets and parts. Also looking for 28 Chrysler series 72 parts. And early Hemi parts.

Coming up short on my water pump to thermostat housing bypass fitting. Does anyone have an extra decent one they will part with? I see Mummert has a snazzy aluminum one available but an old steelie will do as long as it's not corroded badly. Thanks. Barboatbilly1@gmail.com
