I used 3" blocks in mine but may go up to 2". In order to change a rear tire I have to take the shock loose and then jack it up by the frame. I am running 8" wheels though.
Y's guys rule! Looking for McCullouch VS57 brackets and parts. Also looking for 28 Chrysler series 72 parts. And early Hemi parts.

I've only driven it once since I lowered it because it's still not running just right but it seems to be OK. I turned the wheels lock to lock when I first put the springs in while I had it up. It looks like there's plenty of room. I'd really like it lower all around but I'm pretty close to the bump stops now. It's about as low as I can get without any further modifications. Maybe in the future I'll do a little more. Firestone's were what I put on mine too. I liked the piecrust with the wide whitewalls. If you order them from summit racing the shipping is free too.

Yeah, I was surprised how tall the 670's are. I'm putting some Firestone on my wagon. Do you have any trouble with rubbing in the front on hard turns? Im putting Aerostars on mine real soon with 2" blocks in the back.

Thanks. I did 4" blocks in the rear and aerostar coils up front. It would probably sit a bit lower with different tires but I wanted the original style 6.70 bias plys. they're a bit tall.

Nice car. Looks like you lowered it a bit. How much did you lower it?

Rowen, the coupe is chopped. 3" chop to the top, and 3" channel over the frame. not much room inside, but it sure is fun. a little tough for me getting in and out with a bad knee and back, but I don't care, it is ok once I am in.
