A request for pics of your cars. As a fairly new member of the "Y-Block fan club", I would very much enjoy and appreciate a thread that has pics of the member cars. The avitars are really small on my I-phone, ( no computer available) and so many of them are beautiful, (what I can see) that I m sure many of us here would like to see them in a larger format. I also have many ideas of my own for how I would like my 55CV to look when I'm finished (most likely never) with her and seeing pics of how you fellas accomplished certain looks would be great. I have posted many pics of my car on various threads already so I hope my redundancy here is ok, but I will start it off. I hope I'm not the only one that feels this way. Thanks muchly in advance. Mean dean, very nice. Is it all stock? Hope ya drive the heck out of it, she's a beaut!
MoonShadow, I LOVE!! the louvors in the hood. Very pricey these days or I'd do the same thing. Are those dumps I see behind the front wheel? If so, what headers are you using? I also dig the wheels. And the roadster, well, what can I say,..."yeah, it's got a hemi!" Very kool! Thanks much for the photos fellas, very nice cars... Rowen

Rono, both are beauties! So the "P" code engine, is that the 215 or 225 hp version? Either way, looks to be one bad a$$ wagon!! Love em both! Thanks for posting. Rowen

Stock 272 2V Fordo. Even down to the 6 volt electricals. Unusual front push bar - I've only ever seen in pictures and only on '57's. And a rear speaker and fader is another unusual option. Only 4X,XXX miles on the odo so I am judicious in adding more.

Meandean, mine as well but she has 104,000 on her. Before I die I hope she 304,000!!!

Taking liberties with the request for photos. And I know I've posted this link before. This is a video my best friend and I put together featuring my car and also a cameo of my brother's '57 custom.
(Muscatine is the town I moved to (county seat) when I was 16 and thus graduated HS there).

Meandean, in my mind, no liberty at all. Loved the video. As a matter of fact, I wouldnt mind seeing more of them from anyone who cares to post. I asked for the photos because I love these/our cars. I am happily surprised by all the responses and i thank all those who have. I hope they keep coming in! Rowen

Well since it is "show and tell" time, here is my current project. Y Block power, AOD xmission, 9" M II front end with disc brakes all around. I finally finished the floors this last week. And no the T-bird HT is not part of the build :-).

30coupe, nice ride! Love anything y-block! Glad you didn't chop it!! Doug T, I dig the idea of a y-block in that falcon, what kind of ci, hp #s are ya lookin at? Thanks for postin fellas. Rowen
By 30 coupe - 8 Years Ago
Rowen, the coupe is chopped. 3" chop to the top, and 3" channel over the frame. not much room inside, but it sure is fun. a little tough for me getting in and out with a bad knee and back, but I don't care, it is ok once I am in.

Nice car. Looks like you lowered it a bit. How much did you lower it?
By fastbillsgarage - 8 Years Ago
Thanks. I did 4" blocks in the rear and aerostar coils up front. It would probably sit a bit lower with different tires but I wanted the original style 6.70 bias plys. they're a bit tall.
By 62bigwindow - 8 Years Ago
Yeah, I was surprised how tall the 670's are. I'm putting some Firestone on my wagon. Do you have any trouble with rubbing in the front on hard turns? Im putting Aerostars on mine real soon with 2" blocks in the back.
By fastbillsgarage - 8 Years Ago
I've only driven it once since I lowered it because it's still not running just right but it seems to be OK. I turned the wheels lock to lock when I first put the springs in while I had it up. It looks like there's plenty of room. I'd really like it lower all around but I'm pretty close to the bump stops now. It's about as low as I can get without any further modifications. Maybe in the future I'll do a little more. Firestone's were what I put on mine too. I liked the piecrust with the wide whitewalls. If you order them from summit racing the shipping is free too.
By MoonShadow - 8 Years Ago

I used 3" blocks in mine but may go up to 2". In order to change a rear tire I have to take the shock loose and then jack it up by the frame. I am running 8" wheels though.
