I ran into the same problem in western Canada. Could not find any shop or supplier that could supply needed parts to rebuild a (very bad) 57 car steering box.
Ended up converting to a 1958, ( box only) which has the later recirculating ball mechanism. However, in the case of a 1957 to 58 conversion, definately best to use the complete 1958 column assembly, because the entire horn & turn signal setup is revised starting in '58. Otherwise, sorting that out is another whole story...

Also try Green Sales Co. They are in Cinci, not MI as I mistakenly said in another post. You can input the ford part number on their website.

Don't know if it would help, but you could try Kanter Auto.         https://www.kanter.com/

Thanks for all the help. After several emails and even more phone calls I came up empty handed. The rebuilder is a reputable shop and he said that it turned out good with the used sector. I should have it back later this week so I'll keep everyone up to date.

Thanks Bill! Sorry to hear that. Another one stop Source of Parts for Vintage Vehicles gone. I was just going by their Website which is still active and no indication they are closing up. Too bad. One more suggestion for sourcing the Sector Shaft-try Dennis Carpenter. He has or did have a very large # of NOS Parts for Fords. You used to be able to access the Inventory directly off the Website using original Ford Part #'s but I don't see that Link on His new Website. You may have to call them and give them that Part #.

The original Ford # for the Sector Shaft Assembly for the 3 Tooth Box is B6A-3575-A.  Extremely difficult to find NOS. Joblot Automotive sells a replacement Worm Gear for the 3 Tooth Box where You re-use your existing input Shaft and they may possibly have the complete assembly depending on if they have any in stock at the Moment. They also sell a replacement Gear only for the Sector Shaft but only for the 2 Tooth Type Box. I think You will be extremely lucky to find an NOS Sector Shaft for the later Box.

I will say it again, Since the passing of Hal, one of the owners of Joblot Autos last year, they have decided not to continue the business and have sold off most of the stock last yr.

You might try Frank Stubbs. He's starting to sell some parts.

Both well known, top level restorers. So, they won't be cheap, if they'll part with it at all.
