Its listed in the 1956 Ford chassis book as - ready for this - Its called a plate!
Plate - (Insturment Cluster Controls Mounting)
Part# B5A 11573-A for the right side and B5A 11575-A for the left side Oldmics Yeah, they got real descriptive with that one! Called the same in my books. Haha

Does anyone know where I can find this part circled in yellow in the picture? Can't find it anywhere and don't even know what to call it other than "plate". Also, does anyone know what bolts/screws hold the glove box lock into the dash? On another note, I ordered my steering column and associated install parts, lokar shifter, radiator, and 21 circuit wiring harness. My build is gaining momentum! Thanks! Dave 71% of original size (was 707x19) - Click to enlarge I have the part you need Carl How much would you like for it?

I was under the impression that that piece was spot welded to the main dash. That holds the light - right? Definitely not spot welded. It has it's own part number but cant locate the part by the part number. I do have the bigger one that houses the ignition switch, lights, etc.... This one secures the lighter and choke. I don't need either but I don't want the holes in my dash. I have a couple 55 dashes,I will check and see if that part is with them Carl
