Getting real close to exhaust decision time. Hoping for some header suggestions for my 292. A couple of challenges here, I have a Chrysler Cordoba front end with a big power steering pump and I've set up car style motor mounts, so most typical F100 headers that drop down will not fit. Nor will Ram horns unfortunately. Custom steering has been pre-fit and represent the common clearance issue with engine. In the photos you'll see some passenger car manifolds installed just as an experimental mock-up... the driver side will not clear my steering - close but no go. I have a C4 tranny so no clutch linkage to deal with.
I saw the thread with the stainless headers from Spotlite Custom Accessories. That's the kind of tuck I need on driver's side. Not thrilled with the idea of rectangular exhaust ports dumping into round holes though. Wondering about the Red's singles or Jerry's Yestertech option of similar configuration. Does anyone know which header options will tuck in closest to the engine? It's going to be a tough call until everything is all in one place. Thanks in advance for your thunks on this.
