I weighed my '57 Custom Tudor Sedan today.  Without me, and a full tank off gas, it weighed #3940.   

That seems pretty heavy to me.    352 CI Y-Block, 1/2" main girdle, Moldex Billet crank, VR57 Supercharger with factory brackets and air cleaner, Mummert Aluminum Heads, Blue Thunder Aluminum Intake, Aluminum Timing Cover, Tremec TKO transmission, Aluminum driveshaft, 13" Baer Brakes, Nodular Nine with Detroit Locker, Aluminum Radiator and MSD 6ALBTM box, Holley Black Fuel Pump, and full 2 1/4 exhaust system.

100% stock body and interior.  

It does have working hang on AC, a full stereo system (six speakers, two amps, and 10'sub in small box), and sound deadening under the carpet.   The trunk has light weight '03 Cobra Spare tire, a small loaded tool box, and an aluminum floor jack. 

Yes, I removed the baby seats before weighing.

It weighed more than I expected, considering its not that far from stock, with many lightweight parts.

I would rather it be comfortable, quite, and cool, then dump a bunch of features to lighten it up.

I'll just keep working on the motor to make it faster.

   Mine's at 3850 with me in it. No air, but that's 200 + pounds lighter than you. Also has a cast iron FMX in there!

What type of sound deadner do you have? I understand that some o that stuff can get pretty heavy..

Seems on the heavy side to me. As I recall the Custom 300 that I had back in the late '60's weighed 3600 and that was with a 390 in it. It was about the same as my '57 Bird with the 312. The AC, stereo, and sound deadener may be the culprit.

The Supercharger set-up and all it's components adds up as well.   I'm sure that with head unit, brackets, pulleys hoses it adds more than 100lbs to it. The front end actually goes up 1/2 and inch when the supercharger head unit is off.

 Of course the blower adds way more in Horse Power than it's weight penalty.

My 57 bird weighed in at 3520 all original with auto trans, hardtop, no AC, and about a 1/4 of a tank of fuel.

My truck is 3675 with me in it, so that seems about right with the extra glass, seat, and sheet metal, etc in a car.

I just scaled my 56 Merc. I was surprised that it weighs 3640 with a full tank of gas. Add 200 for the driver

My '57 T-Bird has a 460/C6 with full length headers and it weighed 3450 on the same scale that I weighed the sedan.   It has similar equipment to the Sedan, with stereo, sound deadening, but with no AC in the bird.   Both my cars have the 13" Baer Brakes,which adds a few pounds as well.   All my cars have spare tires, jacks and some sort of tool kits as well.   I plan to put a change the T-bird back to y-block power, tremc TKO, and a VR57 Blower.   I'll be interested to see how that affects the weight over the 460.   I bet it weighs in about the same with Y including due to the supercharger set-up.

It is interesting that you have a '57 T-Bird,460, C6.
I have the same exact set-up in a black '57, 460, C6, AC, rack & pinion,
posi-trac, and 4 wheel disc brakes. Great driver, I bought the car this way.
I prefer y-blocks, but the car is too pretty and fast to change.
