Slick: Just for the record, early Quebec settlement, unlike Australia, wasn't for convicts...

Doe's that mean the other half descended from Aboriginals? That could explain a lot! Chuck Mostly Italians ,Greeks, Poms, VietNamese, etc, etc, lately Indians, Chinese and Africans... Only about 2.5% of the population is Aboriginal.

Welcome. A 312 in an A will be slick. Personally always a Flathead in an A was the ideal though. Have had Y Blocks since 1963. There is no better time to build one than now. Better parts out there now than there ever were. A plus is that a basically stock 312 in an A would be a lot of fun. A loaded one would be just that much more fun!

Welcome Brian! You are now infected with the Y-Block Fever like the rest of us. Good luck with your project. Sounds like a Fast one to me. Jim

Brian. Welcome to the site. Your '30 sounds like a great place to put a Y. There are several on the site that have put the Y in the older Fords so be sure to post pictures and ask questions as they come up.
