Does anyone have a std bore or .030 292 block close to Mississippi coast they would be willing to sell?  I plan to go to the Spring Swap in Columbus in April so that is an option as well.  All I need is bare block, or a short block if that is what is available.  ALready have a set of the `57  "G" heads.  I have a 272 block, but it is stuck right now, and I may not be able to save it.  I hope to get it disassembled soon, so I can see what I have left of it.  Also, any information on adapting a scattershield from either a small block or FE to the Y, I know of a couple people who have adapted some scattershield, but dont know any particulars...Help.  If the 272 can go to 292 std bore, that would be great, but as I said, my block may or may not be savable.  Any info there would be helpful as well (ie..will 3.62 bore go to 3.75 safely?)  This is my first Y project, many many small blocks, Clevelands, FEs and 460s, so any and all help is much appreciated. Thanks guys...
