I also found a what I think is a Dana 44 which was out of a Mainline ute. I can get it for $75, Should I buy it and keep as spare? or fit as runner? He thinks it may be a 3.5:1 ratio.

All Aussie Mainline utes were 4.11:1 as far as i know.

Strong diff, aussie drag racers used to use them before 9"ers became available.

I have a 3.55:1 out of a 53 sedan delivery in my 52 Mainline with 302w and AOD.

Manual OHV mainlines, 4.09 ; 1, Auto mainlines 3;54. The 4.09 is usually stamped on RH diff tube looking from the rear. The 3.54 is usually stamped on cast web running to tube area. Allow variances for my fadeing memory.

He mentioned it may have been a 3.55:1I think for $75 I should just buy it. I will check the tubes and casting to see.

The Lincoln Versailes disc brake rear end has the same width, center pin to center pin, as my 57 and 58 rancheros. Not sure what the t-bird width is, hope this helps

thanks, Mark
