So sorry to hear about Lin. I never had the pleasure of meeting him in person. I first met him on the HAMB, helped him post some pictures of his '57 that had dual quads and a Supercharger in "Hot Rod Pix of '55-57 Ford Gassers - The Other Tri-Fives. This must have been sudden. I just seen him on the HAMB a few days ago. I will miss him.

I too had met Lin Stanworth and we "traded parts" over the years. He gave me a personal tour through his shop a few years back and we spend the afternoon together. He has a wonderful family by the way and was a pastor of a good church down near Ivor, Virginia. God bless him and his memory.

Thanks for posting this Ted. I met Lin at the yblock shootout a couple a years ago. We had some good conversations. May he rest in peace. He told me about the Black 57 Fairlane racecar he had for sale in later talks. It wasn't to long after that the Alix brothers were on their way to pick it up to bring it to Oklahoma. My Prayers go out to Lin and his family.

It was just passed on to me that Lin Stanworth passed on earlier this week. He was known on this site as yblock32duece. My condolences and sympathy goes out to his family in this time of sorrow. Lin was an avid Y-Blocker and was well known in the Y-Block community with his Y powered ’32 Ford. He recently had the ‘time capsuled’ 1957 Ford drag car that was supercharged with dual quads. That car went to the Alix brothers in Oklahoma a couple of years ago. . Rest in Peace Lin. http://www.hotrodhotline.com/feature/garage/010stanworthsgarage/
