There is probably someone in the business of repair work closer to you who knows Y's but I am confident in recommending Olde Town Motors in Sikesville Md as a shop fully conversant with Y blocks. Ask for Frank.

There are plenty of East Coast members. Richard Stuck, Charlie Morris, NJ. Chuck Cline in NH, Charlie Brown in NY and a number of others. Some of these guys are active on Facebook's Y Block site.

Hi,

I'm new to this forum. Just bought a '56 F-100 with a 312 c.i. Y-block. It's unrestored and in driver condition. It needs some looking at initially, and some restoration down the road.

I live in South Orange, NJ, (Essex County). I'm looking for a nearby mechanic and also a restoration shop. Any recommendations?

Also, are there any enthusiast clubs in the area?

Thanks,
Steve
