Larry other than the port size is there any difference in the 553 and 573? Can you use a 573 for a 56 272? Thanks from a newbe. 57 Ford Kustom (2/17/2008)
Jan There is a Edlebrock 573 intake on ePay now listed under idem #250216887690 it ain't going to go cheap seeing it comes with 97 carbs , fish mouth tops, carb kits, and foel log. Looks like only thing missing is progressive linkage. T M

Cactus, I'm not sure if it is the big port one or not, but there happens to be one on epay right now with the carbs and linkage. hope this helps. |
Cactus you're looking for a model 573, the one on evil pay is a model 553 with the smaller 272 cu. in. port size. I'd keep looking for a bit because the 573 does come up quite often. I've run four-barrels and even the Blue Thunder intake but nothing wows the crowd at the cruise nites like the tri power.

Thanks for the response. I don't know anything about that manifold. I am about to give up on the 3x2 anyway and just stick with a four barrel.
