All of us go to car shows during the Spring, Summer, and Fall months of the year. I have been considering taking along a Y block on a trailer to do an "up close and personal" education for everyone who does not know about our engine, or for those who have forgotten. The parts alone I swap make for good conversation pieces, but I have been thinking about going to the next step - putting a Y on an engine test stand, with all of the gauges, etc. And trailering this thing to car shows (different intakes, carbs, etc, just for fun) behind my Expedition.
Anybody else out there done this before? We have all modeled the Y in our vehicles, and I would love to have one on a trailer/stand that had accessiblity on all sides, you could more easily play with combinations, looks, etc. What would be really good is to get one worked up with the VS57 or VR57 on it.
I preach and teach - that is my life, and I am thinking that it would be a good opportunity to bring the Y out to the shows like that - showing off all the detail, etc....
