Can someone post a photo of one? I'm thinking of just trying to fab one since it looks like these are almost as rare as hen's teeth.

Maybe this is a link to the bracket you saw for sale.  I swear I saw this same bracket for sale a few months ago but it was listed for a '56.

Thanks Mike, yes it is the same one I saw long time ago. It's been listed as a 59 before.

The one 59 in the junkyard had that bracket but to me it looked home made, its severely rusted and would probably not survive being removed.

Thanks for checking Jeff. I may just have to make my own. If someone can post some photos of one I would really appreciate it.

Thanks Marv. I found that there's another part that attaches to it and the license plate attaches to it. This combination will not quite work right on a 55-56 front bumper.

That piece 20308-s is an optional part that is included in the full kit part #17998. The small kit includes only the bracket 17736 that bolts between the two bolts to hold the licence plate flat. The full plate support is very pricey if you can find one. I have seen them sell om ebay for $300-$400 .

No, I'm not really interested in a 59 bracket with the plate frame. I'm interested in any photos of the bracket for a 55/56 if someone has one.
