I could not find panel board in this area to make the door skins so I cheated and went to Home Depot and bought 1/8" plywood door skins and traced out everything from the one not too bad original and cut out all the openings, drilled all the screw holes and clip openings and it worked fine and was easy to work with. Even bought the spray 3M glue used for headliner at HD also....Oh yea, don't tell anyone but the foam and foil insulation came from there too.

I'm glad you posted pictures of your 55,that's what I have to do next with my 56.I love 55's and 56's equally that's why I have one of each! did you use your original door panels? my 55 crown has one good door panel and my 56 customline has flimsy homemade ones that came with the car.I think the panels are the same on both as they are 2 doors, but was wondering what to use to make new ones. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.nice to see another 55 getting back on the road!

I like the way the interior is turning out...my wife said too many different colors but once original seats are finished and put back in think that will help. Going to get heat gun out today and see if some of wrinkles in headliner will disappear. Have a '54 four door also that I have not started working on yet, so if a good offer came along for this '55 I would let it go, but have no plans to put it up for sale. Just bought adaptor for screw-on oil filter so changing that over is also in the plan for today.

Very nice Ron, the 55 is the year I'd have if I could ever find a decent one that wasn't big $$$$$. I like the interior of it a lot more than a 56, the see thru speedo, things like that. Michael
