What kind of glue should I use?

I don’t use glue with the fiber oil filter plate gaskets.  If I did use any kind of sealer, it would likely be CopperCoat®.  I make it a point to insure that the oil filter plate is not deformed to the point that it will not hold pressure against the gasket.  When that deformation is evident, then I simply put the plate in a press and reform it so that it will hold tension against the gasket.
