Jones, Check out John Mummerts site at http://www.ford-y-block.com/fordpartnumbers.htm There is a lot there on how to read part numbers. Chuck

Y's guys rule!
Looking for McCullouch VS57 brackets and parts. Also looking for 28 Chrysler series 72 parts. And early Hemi parts.

You might also try Carpenters or Macs. Here are a couple of links to get you started.

The best advice I can give you is to contact simplyconnected on this site and he may still have a link for you to download the Ford Parts Catalogues in PDF format. Dave is als a moderator for the square bird site.If he does not still have them available Dan Jessup maybe able to sell you a disk. A member of the 52-59 ford group on the HAMB (jalopyjournal.com) also has the disks for sale. However you get hold of the catalogues it will be the best and most valuable resource in your library.

Seems my memory is not what I thought it was. The gent with the disks goes by the handle of retrojim. If you click on the link this may take you to where he offers the disks four sale.http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=759463
You may have to join the sdocial group to view the thread.
Hope this helps.
