Hey everyone I was just wondering if there would be any interest in a serpentine belt system or if there are any out there. I have the twin turbo y-block and we are going to install a electric water pump this winter and going to send the crank pulley off to innovaters west to have a custom crank pulley made for a serpentine system along with my alternator and p/s pulleys. If anyone has input or interest let me know because we might make some provisions to produce and possibly sell these, or if there is a setup out there let me know.

There has been some talk but I don't think anything exists yet: forums.y-blocksforever.com/Topic54326.aspx?forums.y-blocksforever.com/Topic84283.aspx?I'm interested. I only have the water pump and alternator to worry about but it would look neat and make belt changes easier. It would be a challenging endeavor. The innovators west damper is different than stock, so you'd need a single pulley design that can work with both dampers or 2 separate pulleys, well, if you throw the t bird into the mix, maybe 3 separate pulleys. The same goes for the alternator/generator and water pump, there are two different locations and the innovators west damper throws in another variable. The water pump pulley alignment could be solved with a spacer and a small block pulley may already exist that will work.

What about using a kit that includes crank pulley, a plate for water pump cover, electric water pump, tensioner and idler pulleys?

You will still have the same issues with pulley / damper / vehicle compatibility that will need to be worked out if you don't want to severely limit the potential buyers. I'd think at the minimum that you want to make sure it will work with factory passenger car components. Maybe that can be solved with a spacer or adapter for the pulley you will have made for the Innovators West damper. I have no interest in running an electric water pump for street use.
